The bad news is that we were going into the W-League season with a massively bad calculations error – this explains all of the super-low scores that we were getting predicted. Fortunately, we’ve fixed that ahead of Round 2, and the rest of the season, so it’s a problem no longer!
Another problem with our system, and one that’s harder to fix, come about through Western Sydney’s rating. Being the worst in the competition, you’d think they’d improve with a victory – however, since their last home game against Adelaide was also a 2-1 victory, they get no adjustment at all.
Which is why they’re still ranked as the heavy outsiders against Newcastle for tomorrow’s game. At least we’ve got an exciting match on tonight.
