WBBL|05 Elo Ratings – Matches 38, 39, 40, & 41

Our correct tipping streak came to an end on Sunday, but only due to the miracle of a last-ball six from Courtney Webb to get the Renegades over the line against the Sixers. That six ended a six-tip run for us, but we set aside our supposedly neutral viewpoint to cheer on the Renegades.

The big ratings boost the Renegades earn from that upset victory is enough to get them to a rating of 1512, their highest in WBBL history (which should tell you how mediocre they’ve been over the years). They weren’t the only team to reach new heights on Sunday, with Brisbane’s victory over Perth lifting them up to 1573.

Interestingly, both of those teams are playing off against each other today, on a bumper matchday featuring every team. The winner of the Renegades v Brisbane game will improve on their record standing (and a win for Brisbane will get them to #1 in the league), while also earning some crucial points in the finals runup.
