Margin Tipping
My extremely unprofessional tip of West Coast paid off, meaning that I was able to get one back on the system in what was a pretty poor week for the both of us. I got five right; the system got one less to score four – although the MAE for the year still improved. Compared to the systems on Squiggle, we’re running around the bottom in both tips and MAE.
There’s a few big margins tipped by the system, and only one difference. For reasons unknown, I’ve decided to tip Fremantle,1 while the system backs conventional wisdom and goes for Essendon.
There’s a few changes to the predicted ladder. Melbourne jumps from eighth to sixth, meaning Geelong and Hawthorn are one down. Sydney and Port Adelaide also swap places, meaning the Power miss out on a double chance by 1.4%. And Richmond are now only percentage ahead of West Coast – although the final result still doesn’t change.
Unique Scores
Gold Coast were one off scoring 50 for the first time; if GWS had scored one less goal they’d have their first 73; and Port Adelaide were one short of their first 51. But with all those close calls, there were no unique scores for the year.
